Melissa Nava Consulting expanded the search
functionality of the Lending Library. Previously the lending
libraries search function was either books or videos via a
dropdown menu. The addition that Melissa Nava Consulting did
to the website is to add the user the ability to narrow the
results down via keyword or keyphrase.
Originally the 'request' link provided to users
upon the search of the lending library brought users to a
page where one would need to manually enter in the information
for the library request. Melissa Nava created a new request
page to the application and added the pre-filled information
to the page. Users no longer need to remember what title and
year a text is in order to request it. This upon submitting
this form it does some inline validation and generates a lending
library request via email. Upon completion, this form redirects
users to a success/failure page.
